Grinchy

What is a grinchy kind of day? It’s one where everything does NOT go your way!!

Imagine, you are eating some spice drops and off pops your crown. Not only is it gone, but you swallowed it.

Imagine, you are 2 minutes late for your bus and have to buy another ticket to wait for one to come along 8 hours later?

Imagine, you are wakened abruptly at 6 am to a small dog yelping in pain and you stumble to get her prescription neurontin and tease her into swallowing it before carrying her outside for her “business” in 34 degree weather.

Imagine, you have a 6 hour drive that you dread already and now rain is on the forecast.

Do you get the idea?

On the other hand, imagine that you wanted to get a picture of this cute outdoor Christmas decor on a busy country road and you made it. Somehow, you didn’t get hit by a car or run off the private property by the owner watching from the house.

Imagine that a 15 yr old got her learner’s permit today.

Imagine that 4 yr old danced her heart out in a black leotard, with black gloves, raising her arms and stepping in time.  You can hear her teacher say “She can come back to class anytime, she is a passionate dancer and very cooperative!”

Imagine that an 8 yr old comes to get you ready for Christmas and does a fantastic job decorating your tree while you get to watch.

I remember a little girl named Chandler who said she was having her kind of day. What kind is that, I asked? She said, “It’s just a day when everything goes my way”!

Out of the mouth of babes!! Even when we have a grinchy kind of day, we can find something to be thankful for and we will!
