youth dew

Dr. Christine Northrup calls nitric oxide the “fountain of youth” as she talks about agelessness. When you mention the link with nitric oxide to muscles and testosterone, men’s ears perk up. Not to be confused with nitrous oxide, laughing gas. This is no laughing matter. Staying young, is serious business. It is usually associated with maintaining a normal body weight, exercise and good genes. What if there really is a youth dew? What if it does exist? And, its close by?

Everyone has heard of the Pritikin Diet, well the Pritikin Longevity Center cites the benefits of nitric oxide. Nutritionist have listed 20 foods that increase nitrous oxide naturally:

1. Dark Chocolate:   Several studies have documented that cocoa, especially the raw kind, increases nitric oxide production and lowers blood pressure. If possible you should always buy raw unprocessed kind, because the ones they sell on markets are so overprocessed that they shouldn’t be even called chocolate anymore. 2. Watermelon: It contains a lot of the amino acid L-Citrulline that is one of the best natural compounds to increase nitric oxide, proven by countless of studies. 3. Pomegranate: increases nitric oxide and testosterone production 4. Walnuts: are packed with vitamin E and high amounts of L-Arginine, which has been linked to an increase in nitric oxide production. 5. Brown rice:increased nitric oxide, relaxed arterial walls and improved bloodflow significantly. 6. Spinach: is one of the highest nitrate contents of all plants, which means that it’s a pretty awesome food to eat if you are looking to increase nitric oxide production. 7. Oranges: and orange juice contains high amounts of vitamin C, which has been shown to protect your precious nitric oxide molecules from free radicals. So ideally there would be no point in increasing your nitric oxide levels without consuming vitamin C and antioxidants at the same time, because without the vitamin C, your beloved nitric oxide would just oxidize away before really doing anything in your body.8. Beets: is one of those foods that has highest nitrate count in all of plants, and at the same time beets are capable to lower your estrogen levels by acting as a methylator. 9. Cranberries: increase nitric oxide production, while lowering blood pressure.10. Garlic: is a potent activator of NOS (nitric oxide synthase), and produces same kind of effects as Cialis or Viagra and decreased systolic and diastolic blood pressure by 8 points on subjects with high blood pressure. 11. Black tea: it still has some major vasodilating effects but increases nitric oxide production and lessens the arterial stiffness so more black tea = more bloodflow.  12. Cayenne pepper: contains high amount of capsaicin, the compound that makes all chili’s hot.13. Honey:by the high nitrate content that honey has.14. Pistachios: like all nuts are packed with L-Arginine, a precursor of nitric oxide. 15. Salmon: is a very good source of co-enzyme Q10, not only great for soothing wrinkles, but also a nitric oxide booster. 16. Kale : source of co-enzyme Q10 which boosts nitric oxide.17. Animal organs: contain cholesterol, healthy fat-soluble vitamins that boost your testosterone levels and co-enzyme Q10 that increases nitric oxide levels.18. Onions: increase nitric oxide production and Vitamin C, which protects your nitric oxide molecule from free radicals. They contain quercetin which boost nitric oxide levels.19. Shrimps: increase the amount of L-Arginine in your body which then converts into nitric oxide. 20. Peanut butter:Nuts are high in arginine and peanut butter or any nut butter boost nitric oxide.

Honestly, this doesn’t sound that complicated. We don’t have to search for these ingredients.  How many of us are consuming these 20? I might hit one per day, if I am lucky. However, I didn’t know where to find “youth dew”. Getting older is a given, but we can choose what it looks like for us and on us and in us. Make educated decisions today.
