A person is a human being and all human beings have a spirit, soul and body.

It’s not hard to grasp the spirit and body, but the soul is more complex.

The soul has three parts.

mind

John 16:13. He will guide you in all truth.

God has all knowledge. The Holy Spirit knows everything about everything and has committed Himself to be your teacher.

will 

The Holy Spirit has a will.

Acts 16:6 …and were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach in Asia.

You can know the general will of God through His word and the specific will of God by his voice.

emotion

The whole reason Jesus came was to have a personal relationship with you. His love is unconditional.

If you want to know what God thinks about something, the Holy spirit that lives within you can tell you. If you want to know about marriage- its in the Bible, but if you want to know who to marry you need more personalize divine guidance. If you want to know what job to take or what house to buy, you need to know the general principles in the Bible and then listen to that still small voice that is within. If you want to know how to pray, follow Jesus’s example.

The Lords Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen

Romans 8:28 All things work together for good to those who know God and are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:26 Likewise the spirit helps in our weaknesses for we do not know what we should pray.

I Thessalonians 5: 16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
