wisdom

Wisdom- is to do now what we will be happy with later.

The foolish virgins took their lamps, but they did not bring enough extra oil. Foolish people only do what they have to do to get by. They don’t do anything extra and are caught lacking.

Merriam Webster defines wisdom as

1. a: ability to discern inner qualities and relationships :  insight
b: good sense : judgement
c: generally accepted belief
d: accumulated philosophical or scientific learning : knowledge
2: a wise attitude, belief, or course of action
3: the teachings of the ancient wise men
Is it wisdom or a good eye that can tell these two birds apart at 100 yards?
I saw the first bird ( or so I thought) sitting in the second bird’s perch.
Would there be any way to confuse an eagle with an osprey?
I was caught lacking because I didn’t get the binoculars out and pinpoint the totally white head. I did look up the eagle’s nest in close proximity and convinced myself that for sure- I saw an Eagle sitting on an Osprey’s nest.
The other thing that’s not wise is telling everything you know. Momma always said,” You don’t need to tall all you know”.
How many times have we read that you look real smart until you open your mouth.
I have accumulated new knowledge. An eagle has no interest or need to perch in an osprey’s nest.
I have this on good foundations, from the teachings of the ancient wise men. Or, a wiser man than me!:)
