Angelic Protection

Imagine these two situations and how the wings of angels softened the landing or stood between me and a veering truck.

Four days ago, my daughter was in the emergency room after slipping on the top step and falling down the main stairwell of her home. Somehow, she didn’t hit her head and her arm which swelled immediately, was not broken on the x-ray. I believe angels protected her from more harm- softening her fall with their wings.

Today, I was at a stop light when I looked up in my rear view mirror to see a work truck with a trailer full of metal braking as hard as he could, but not being able to stop, veering to the left and I felt something touch the back of my car. It wasn’t him or his truck. I believe angels helped turn the wheel and their wings protected me from the brush of a trailer full of metal. The entire rig stopped within inches of my car, a deadly accident averted in seconds. I saw it all happen and knew immediately how blessed I was. I rolled my window down and rejoiced- Thanking God- that he was able to stop in time. He looked shaken. I know I was.

How did we escape deadly situations? Angelic protection is the only explanation.

We all know people who fall down stairs and break their neck, fracture their wrist, or worst.

I saw my rear end collision happening before my eyes. It was the grace of God that saved us both.

God is our refuge and our help in time of need. He commands his angels to guard and protect us from all harm.

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

Note: See those sparkles on the water in the picture above. Those are called “Water Diamonds”. Merriam Webster doesn’t know about this term, but you can be the first to use it!!!
