fear-less-ness

Beautiful Bath possible coverFear. Being afraid. Fearlessness. Not being afraid?

No, it’s more than simply not expressing, feeling or being governed by fear.

Courage is the knowledge of what is not to be feared.  Socrates

Fearlessness is not the absence of fear. Rather, it’s the mastery of fear.  There are things we should be afraid of — we want to stay alive, after all. We will never completely eliminate fear from our lives, but we can definitely get to the point where our fears do not stop us from daring to think new thoughts, try new things, take risks, fail, start again, and be happy. Fearlessness is about getting up one more time than we fall down. Fearlessness is like a muscle. The first time we take that first fearless step, we begin to change our lives. And the more we act on our dreams and our desires, the more fearless we become and the easier it is the next time.  Arianna Huffington

True fearlessness comes from acceptance of ourselves and the certainty of the love nature of God. Fear is the enemy of our future. There is only one direction in this life- forward. We don’t know what the future will bring or if we will always make the best choices, but we can confidently move forward.

Love casts out fear, because fear involves torment…..I John 4:16-18

If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
