Intermittent fasting and ketosis are linked to reduced disease in humans.

This is not new- by any means. Most religious endorse fasting- Lent and Ramadan are examples.  There are many references to fasting in the Bible. 40 according to this link.  And Proverbs is clear on excessive food intake with as many as 36 Bible verses to support the risk with gluttony.

Proverbs 23:20-21 Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine, Or with gluttonous eaters of meat; For the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to poverty, And drowsiness will clothe one with rags.
Proverbs 28:7 He who keeps the law is a discerning son, But he who is a companion of gluttons humiliates his father.
Proverbs 23:1-2 When you sit down to dine with a ruler, Consider carefully what is before you, And put a knife to your throat If you are a man of great appetite.

Intermittent Fasting: Restricting your eating window every day- 8 hours of eating/16 hrs not
Ketogenic diet: 70-80% fat, 15-20% protein, 5-15% carbohydrates
