sorry

Walk gently in the lives of others.

Striking visual with strong language. It was accompanied by “walk gently in the lives of others”.

Words can be used to soothe or wound. Words are powerful. Some people are careful with what they say and seem to measure each word that ushers from their lips. That’s good in a way, but not so good if they use that technique to withhold information. Being cautious and judicious with your words is good, if it is intended to be gentle with others.

Feeling sorry does not undo any hurts or slights. Saying we are sorry might mitigate the future recall of the events, but it doesn’t change what has been said or what has happened.  Make good choices in what you say and how you attempt to rectify your mistakes.
